“Fame: Britney Spears.”The 32-page bio title covers most of the public spectacle a casual
reader might expect.—her meteoric rise to superstardom and her
harrowing difficulties stemming from her private life. However, the
book looks to delve beyond the salacious headlines.“She is far more complicated than most people realize. No matter
what preconceptions you have about her, there will always be more layers
and surprises,” said issue author Patrick McCray. “Beyond the
performer, there is a real human being there, struggling for a real
life, struggling to connect with her art, and struggling to be
understood.”
